Here is where you can add anything you want to inform your neighbors about, share information on upcoming events, or make an announcement. - Irrigation Water ShortagePosted on: 2010-07-23The following usage represents actual daily water consumption from both pump houses located on the I.Q. Pond.
Presently the golf course is using about 325,000 gallons per day. Approximately 390,000 gallons per day is being pumped thru the homeowners pump house. The commercial properties use 150,000 gallons of this total (390,000). This leaves the homeowners with 240,000 gallons per day. This is above our allocation yet not enough to properly irrigate all our yards at this time of year without any substantial rainfall.
Since we (golf course, homeowners and commercial areas) are using 715,000 gallons total per day and the county is sending 550,000 gallons per day, the water level in the IQ pond is dropping very rapidly. This has caused curtailments of IQ water in the past. This condition will get worse, if the drought continues.
The IQ water we are receiving is not enough to properly irrigate all our St. Augustine grass without the help of rainwater.
The following is suggested: Hand water the dry areas of your yard with city water once per week until the rain starts falling regularly in our area. Apply the water 1/2 inch deep over all the dry areas.
In the future, consider this: Increase the size of your planters and plant drought resistant plants. Lists of these plants are available thru the University of Florida Agricultural Extension Service, Phone number is 772-288-5656. - CONGRATULATIONS!Posted on: 2009-11-27Congratulations Mary Easley-Bradley on your award from Worldproperties.com for your recent TRANSNATIONAL referral certification!

The round robins are open to all residents and non-resident members to 'drop in' when they would like to play.
